Jobs that Pay

Training and Wages

Increase wages for workers who complete Industry Partnership skills upgrading by at least 5% one year after training is completed.

Why is this goal important?

To contribute to a vital and thriving economy, Pennsylvania workers need family sustaining wages. The Industry Partnerships program enables companies in the same industry group or cluster to come together and identify their common skill needs and develop training programs to meet those needs.

What are we working on to reach this goal?

For the second year in a row, the Wolf Administration proposed increasing funding for Industry Partnerships. This increase will enable the formation of additional partnerships and help workers to move up into better jobs. Furthermore, the Wolf Administration ensures that companies which receive certain incentives are paying their workers at least 150 percent of the federal minimum wages, excluding benefits.

The goals below are designed to increase participation in the workforce by expanding opportunities and minimizing breaks in employment.
